Join the Collaborative Innovation Network

A working community for the responsible future of film.

The ARTOS Network is a structured path into the Foundation’s Collaborative Innovation Network, a way to move from interest to genuine contribution, with a defined role and clear expectations on both sides.

It is not a mailing list or a passive membership. It is a working community. Every member contributes knowledge, experience, or resources, and receives the collective intelligence of the network in return. The more you put in, the more the system gives back, to you and to everyone in it.

How It Works

Four pathways

The ARTOS Network has four pathways. Read the descriptions and choose the role that matches how you want to contribute. You may hold more than one. For example, a Researcher who is also a Patron.
  1. Support

Financial backing that sustains the network.

Become a Member or a Patron.

  2. Contribute

    Individual roles for active participation.

Join as a Researcher, Educator, Ambassador, Producer, Volunteer, or Student Contributor.

  3. Ally

For industry organizations, guilds, societies, and unions.

Formal collaboration between ARTOS and the organizations that represent the professional community.

  4. Strategic Partner

For institutions contributing resources to the ecosystem.

Technology, education, production, legal, and event partnerships, formalized through individual agreements.

02 · Pathway Two

Contributing Members

Individual roles for active participation. Each carries a clear minimum commitment: the floor, not the ceiling, of what you bring to the network.
  • Researcher

You investigate tools, pipelines, hybrid and full-AI methods, or legal frameworks within the scope of ARTOS Labs, and share your findings with the network.

Commitment One research deliverable per quarter.

Best for Cinematographers, technologists, VFX artists, legal professionals, and academics exploring generative filmmaking or AI regulation.

  • Educator

You take part in and co-lead ARTOS Campus initiatives: workshops, lectures, guest sessions at film schools, and curriculum development.

Commitment One educational contribution per semester.

Best for Experienced filmmakers, academics, and industry professionals with teaching experience or interest.

  • Ambassador

You are the Foundation’s presence in the working industry, applying ARTOS principles in your daily practice and building awareness among collaborators and clients.

Commitment Two ARTOS events per year, plus regular reporting of production insights.

Best for Active cinematographers, directors, producers, and department heads in film or commercial production.

  • Producer

You commit to testing ARTOS methodologies on real productions, documenting results and ensuring inclusivity for qualified filmmakers in AI-integrated workflows.

    Commitment The highest-commitment Contributing role.

Best for Producers and line producers willing to pilot new workflows on actual productions.

  • Volunteer

You support the Foundation’s operations: grant writing, administration, social media, event coordination, translation, and outreach.

Commitment Five hours per week, for at least three months.

Best for Anyone with organizational, communication, or administrative skills who believes in the mission.

  • Student Contributor

You are enrolled in a film school or related program and want to take part in ARTOS initiatives before entering the industry, with a pathway to full Contributing Member status on graduation.

Commitment Lower threshold · structured mentoring.

Best for Film students exploring the intersection of cinematography and generative AI.

03 · Pathway Three

Allied Organizations

Your organization represents the professional community ARTOS exists to serve. Alliance means formal, reciprocal collaboration: co-validating standards, providing reach to your membership, and, optionally, delegating a representative to the Advisory Board.

This pathway is established through direct conversation, not a form. If it applies to you, write to us to begin the dialogue.

  • Education Partner
